CÉLESTIN is a family brewery and beer cellar located in Old Lille, rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau and rue Esquermoise.
Beers are brewed on site. A selection of exclusively craft beers from other breweries await you, as well as cider.
Célestin Cordonnier founded his brewery in Haubourdin in 1740. Eight generations of brewers have faithfully followed in his footsteps, each bringing his own touch of expertise and excellence. After 60 years of interruption, the CÉLESTIN microbrewery was born in 2014 in Vieux-Lille, thanks to Amaury. He is the 9th generation of brewers in the family. The notion of sharing the knowledge and flavors of three centuries of know-how is quickly apparent. Their beers have roots and give wings!
The first beer brewed, LA DIX, is a blonde ale brewed with 10 varieties of hops. All stages of production - brewing, fermentation and bottling - are carried out on site.
LA DIX was named best lager in Hauts de France by the Gault & Millau gastronomic guide.
Philosophy of the Micro-Brasserie du Vieux-Lille:
Ecocert-certified organic beers
Barley malts are sourced in France.
The hops used come primarily from French Flanders.
The yeasts are produced by a company in Northern France.
All stages of beer production: crushing, brewing, hopping, fermentation, bottling and re-fermentation in the bottle are carried out by the CELESTIN brewery.
