Exhibition 15X15 Cérame - Pierre Murot
From 11 October to 15 December 2022: "15 x 15 Cérame
The designer Pierre Murot explores the functional system of the porcelain tile, the emblematic material of the Villa Cavrois, through 4 installations.A true industrial standard, porcelain stoneware tile is one of those materials whose constructive rationality has never ceased to inspire the greatest modernist architects. Developed on the basis of the emblematic 15x15cm tile, Pierre Murot's project takes the form of an exploratory research notebook.
Fascinated by the unity of measure and the formal simplicity imposed by this material, the designer is inspired by the work of Robert Mallet-Stevens in his implementation of the details - curved plinth, wall sconce, integrated furniture - visible in the water and service rooms.
