Supported by unprecedented research and by the presentation of works by major Arab artists never presented in Europe, the exhibition Picasso and the Arab avant-gardes highlights, thanks to a set of some 70 works, the fruitful dialogue between the Spanish master and modern Arabs. Author of Guernica, portraitist of the Algerian fighter Djamila Boupacha defended by Gisèle Halimi, Picasso was an icon for the Arab artistic scenes marked by Independence.
