The Lille Tourist Office takes you to discover the emotionally-charged sites of the Great War in the Weppes: today green, this territory was the scene of some of the most deadly battles on the western front. Guided and driven tour in a minivan of 6 seats.

The 3h30 tour will take you to the
the Cobbers Australian Memorial Park, the V.C. Corner Cemetery and Memorial, and the Le Trou Aid Post Cemetery. You will then visit the Museum of the Battle of Fromelles, opened in July 2014.
It presents reconstitutions of British, Australian and German trenches, as well as the sequence of events during the battle of 19th July 1916. Finally, you will discover the moving story of the soldiers of the Pheasant Wood: excavated in 2009, they were studied and then buried in a new cemetery in the center of the village. Before your return to Lille, the tour finishes with the discovery of a German cemetery.
