Valérie Belin (born in 1964) is an exceptional artist with an international reputation. She is honoured in this new exhibition of around one hundred photographs from the 1990s to the present day, the first large-scale retrospective event.
Handling black and white as well as colour, portraiture and still life, Valérie Belin questions gender and social stereotypes in photographs that seduce and disturb, so much so that they underline the uncertain beauty and fragility of the world.
