### For this 5th edition of the Objet Textile biennial, 26 artists transform the uses of textiles.
Somewhere between art and science, craft experimentation and environmental commitment, traditional know-how and digital technology, each and every one of them innovates the textile object in their own way.
Visionary, committed and amusing, they explore familiar and atypical materials, revealing their aestheticism and poetry, affirming their eco-artistic approach and taking a critical look at contemporary society.
Follow them as they slip into the interstices and blur the boundaries between art, design and research. You'll be amazed at what textiles can become or do!
La Manufacture is organizing the 5th Objet Textile biennial, a highlight of its contemporary textile art program. 26 local, national and international artists, selected by a jury of professionals, are invited to present their work in individual 10m3 modules, showcasing their unique universe.
The exhibition reflects the richness and diversity of contemporary textile creation, and this year focuses on the theme of matter. Going beyond the confines of the showroom, the artistic installations presented in the heart of the machine room blend in with the industrial heritage.
A Manufacture prize, a Lieux?Communs prize (Namur, Belgium), a TAMAT prize ? Musée de la Tapisserie et des Arts textiles de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (Tournai, Belgium), and for the first time this year a Texture? Musée du Lin et du Textile (Kortrijk, Belgium), are awarded on this occasion. The winning artists are awarded a place in the programming of these four institutions.
