Exposition Vas-y champion !

  • Exhibition / Fair / Open Day
9 rue Princesse, 59043 Lille
The 1960s were a pivotal period for French sport. When the French delegation returned from the Olympic Games in Rome with almost no medals, General de Gaulle decided to accelerate his policy of developing sport in France.
The Vas-y champion? exhibition takes us on a journey through time, from 1958 to 1969, to gauge the importance of sport in French life. From the establishment of sporting institutions to the great victories of the decade.
From the successes of the Goitschel sisters to the breathless rivalry between Raymond Poulidor and Jacques Anquetil, not forgetting the creation of slow motion for television, Vas-y champion? traces the installation of sport as a passion in our daily lives.
