### FANGO is a long-term project specially created for La Manufacture de Roubaix
The exhibition is inspired by Roubaix?s industrial activity, which had a profound influence on the lives of thousands of workers and their descendants. The decline of industry has left a lasting imprint on the community. The internal dynamics of the factories are the starting point.
Conceived as a full-scale diorama, the installation recomposes the scene of a village square, animated by ordinary figures absorbed in their daily gestures. These life-size human sculptures, the result of an encounter between textile art and the plastic arts, give shape to a fragment of suspended reality, where normality is merely an appearance, a staging.
Through this device, the work questions the most diffuse and ordinary forms of power: not that which is frontal and institutional, but that which infiltrates interpersonal relations, imposes itself in social roles and slips into the almost imperceptible gestures of common life. A discreet yet omnipresent power, capillary and everyday, that shapes behavior, redraws hierarchies and invisibly structures collective existence.
**Opening free and open to all**
