Founded in 1875, the Université Catholique de Lille extends over 10 hectares in the heart of the Vauban district. From the neo-Gothic style of the Hôtel Académique with its gargoyles, turrets, pointed arches and pinnacles, to the resolutely contemporary glass roof of the atrium, its architecture is unique. Take a tour of the Hôtel Académique, the Faculty of Medicine and its botanical garden, and the University Chapel (observatory not visited).
