Relive the era! The Museum has set up a military camp retracing the defense of Lille in 1814 against the arrival of the Prussians on French territory: uniformed patrols, a soldier?s school, battalion maneuvers and artillery fire demonstrations will punctuate the day for a total immersion in history.

For this day of living history, we recommend that younger visitors bring helmets or ear protection for the cannon and rifle firings, so they can enjoy the show in complete peace of mind.
At 10 a.m.: the patrols set off through the museum, and the animations come to life freely in the aisles.
At 10.30am, the staffs meet: strategies and preparations take shape.
11am: the taking up of arms on the square, near the estaminet: a solemn and impressive moment.
At 2pm: the Soldier?s School opens its ranks: maneuvers, drills and educational exchanges give the public an insight into everyday military life.
At 3pm: the skirmish erupts, plunging the museum into the heart of the action.
At 4pm: the soldiers once again stroll through the museum, between encounters and demonstrations.

10 a.m.: walkabouts, patrols, soldier?s school and other activities punctuate the morning.
At 2.30pm: a new skirmish, between tension and strategy.
4 p.m.: entertainment and final parades round off the afternoon.
At 5 p.m.: the final show of arms, the climax of a timeless weekend. You?ll also be able to take part in our weekend events, hosted by our villagers, such as guided tours and the school of yesteryear?
