Over ten years ago, the Ministry of Festivities and Access to Entertainment of the **Briche Foraine** launched an ambitious program of fundamental research in the field of festivities, by founding _the Institut Grand Festif_ (IGF). Comprising some fifty artists, craftsmen and builders, this institute brings together passionate researchers who devote all their energy to developing new protocols likely to arouse in individuals a genuine appetite for festivity, and contribute to a more joyful and peaceful society.
