Description
Portugal’s involvement in World War I is little known, despite its significant impact on the Hauts-de-France diaspora. Beyond the military aspect, interactions with the local population left a lasting mark on the socioeconomic landscape. This lecture aims to trace the key issues surrounding Portugal’s involvement in the war and to present its sociological consequences at the regional level.
Featuring Frédéric Dumoulin, AFP journalist, and Aurore Descamps-Ronsin, historian
