These artists, who may or may not be bearers of a memory of colonization and the Algerian War of Independence, reflect their memorial group in their creations, or combine different memories.
Why do these artists want to reinvest the history of colonization and the Algerian War in their work? What are their achievements? What difficulties did they encounter? How were these creations received and acted upon? How can memories be passed on from one generation to the next, particularly through these works?
These are just some of the questions that will be put to the artists during the various round-table discussions organized over the course of these two days of meetings, which will also bring the creators into dialogue with each other and with the public. These days will also be an opportunity to reflect on the question of the transmission of memories, both to young people and to society as a whole.
