The Colysée, created in 2004 by architect Pierre-Louis Carlier, owes its name to the "Colysée Royal", a local party venue in the 18th century.
Le Colysée offers artistic, educational and entertaining exhibitions, as well as cultural events throughout the year. Exhibitions focus on the preservation of species and the enhancement of nature - Fleurs, Vert bitume, Climat, Retour au jardin, un Monde fragile?
In parallel with each exhibition, a cultural program is offered to the public: conferences, screenings, shows for young audiences, children?s and parents? workshops, walks and convivial moments are organized to go further into the theme addressed in the exhibition or simply enjoy a moment of encounter and relaxation.
Finally, in fine weather, the plain around the Colysée comes alive! On certain weekends, street performances transform this strolling and leisure area into an open-air theater.
