designed by architect Charles Leroy, the church was originally topped by a 72-metre spire. The spire was dismantled by the Germans during the 39-45 war, as it interfered with aircraft take-off. A tornado brought the spire down on the Grand Place in November 1940. Push open the church door to admire the beauty of the main nave, the stained glass windows by Maître Haussaire, the organ (Schyvens, 1875) and the rich woodwork.
