This brick mill, built in 1852 to replace a pivot mill destroyed by a storm, was in operation until 1914.
It was bought by the commune on February 26, 1971. Restoration began in November 1973, following approval by the local population in a referendum. In 1974, the rotating cap was installed, and in 1975, new metal wings (23 m span) were added. It was officially inaugurated on June 13, 1976. After more than 60 years of silence, it was finally able to turn.
In 1984, ARAM Nord Pas de Calais restored it, enabling it to grind grain again.
From 1991 to 1992, it was once again restored from top to bottom, as the shaft driving the wings had broken (unfortunately on a feast day at the mill).
