Built in Dutch style in 1877 by miller Cyrille HOLLEBEKE on the site known as Pont de Vos, the mill underwent successive alterations and ceased operations in 1930 after three successive millers fought to keep it going.
The miller's house, although modified several times, has retained most of its original architectural features.
In 1988, the town bought the dwelling and the ruins of the mill, and restoration work began in 1989. The gallery, used to launch the wings, is supported by 27 pieces of wood 3.50m long, the cap weighing 12 tons? The work was completed in May 1992 with the installation of the wings.
In 1989, the mill was listed on the supplementary inventory of historic monuments, thanks to its circular gallery, unique in the Lille region. In 2001, new work was carried out to complete this tourist site, with the construction of an estaminet, an outdoor hall and green spaces.
