Getting around with  Regional Express Trains (TER)

The Lille Metropolis benefits from a well-developed TER regional train network connecting its various towns. Check the network map to plan your journeys, and visit the TER website for schedules and fares.

Explore Lille on foot

The gentlest way to get around also lets you discover the city and its people at your own pace. On the Lille on foot map, you’ll find 3 tourist routes, as well as travel times between points of interest.

Getting around by bike

To plan your itinerary, take a look at the MEL cycling map and our selection of cycling brochures. Several operators offer bike rentals in the Lille metropolitan area:

  • V’Lille is a classic bicycle rental service, available at 260 stations throughout the area. V’lille costs €1.80 for a 24-hour subscription.
  • For electrically-assisted vehicles, turn to Lime (bike + scooter) or Tier Mobility (bike) by downloading their application. A special feature of the Lille metropolitan area is that 2-wheelers must be parked at designated stations.
  • Finally, the Le Grand Huit association lets you rent Dutch bikes or tandems for half a day, a day or several days.
