**The Bondues Resistance Museum welcomes you to the 43rd edition of the European Heritage Days, which will take place on September 19 and 20!** **Weekend Schedule:** The association _%AB Souvenir de la R%E9sistance et des Fusill%E9s du Fort de Bondues %BB_ will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026. To mark the occasion, it is organizing a special evening on Friday, September 18, at 6:00 p.m. at the Espace Culturel, Rue René d’Hespel, in Bondues. Lecture by Laurent Thiery: “Those Executed at Fort de Bondues: An Update on the Latest Historical Research.” Associate Researcher at Histémé/University of Caen, scientific director of the %AB book on the 9,000 people deported from France to Mittelbau-Dora %E9 and historian at the Resistance Foundation. Lecture by Monique Heddebaut _%AB The Deportation of Gypsies from France and Belgium. %BB_ Historian, specialist in the history of the Roma during World War II, co-author of “Being Jewish in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, 1939–1945," author of "Gypsies to Auschwitz: Convoy Z of January 15, 1944" and "The Deportation of Gypsies from France and Belgium" Please note! Registration is required by September 11: **asso.resistance@outlook**.fr or **06.22.20.60.58** **Saturday, September 19 at 10 a.m.: Ceremony honoring the 68 Resistance fighters executed at Fort de Bondues, open to all.** The gathering is scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m. on the Memorial’s esplanade (Avenue du Général de Gaulle). During this solemn ceremony, we will unveil portraits and recount the stories of %AB Ric %BB and %AB Legage %BB, two resistance fighters who were shotin the fort and who had remained unidentified until now. Thanks to the work of Laurent THIERY, a historian and research fellow at the Resistance Foundation, we are now able to reveal their names and their fates.
