For its 28th edition, Panorama, the annual event organized by Le Fresnoy— National Studio for Contemporary Arts, presents nearly 50 new works created by artists from Le Fresnoy: films, installations, performances, and digital and interactive creations.
\[?\] The issue of the invisible is particularly important today, as our societies increasingly value constant visibility. Being visible seems to have become a condition of social existence: we must show ourselves, tell our stories, document ourselves, and continually produce traces. Yet, in our effort to see everything, what are we actually looking at? For the artists, looking at and listening to the invisible becomes an act of attention, almost of care. Their works focus on what lies on the threshold of perception: the nearly erased, the buried—in the earth, in the ages—the infinitely small, the peripheral, the latent, the subterranean, the forgotten?
