Description
Garden(s) of Sounds #4: A Walk Along the Canal
---------------------------------------
### With Vivienne and Un Nouvel Oiseau
Amid the city’s noise, there are natural havens. Sometimes hidden around the corner of an alley or under a porch, invisible because they’ve become part of our daily routines—how can we (re)discover them?
Guided by musical notes, come discover unique instruments, participate in workshops, and relax in the shade of the trees. It’s a chance to escape the heat and the city’s noise for a few hours.
For each event, Jardin(s) des sons offers the same program, with activities tailored to the venue’s characteristics and the partners’ suggestions.
**2:00–4:00 p.m.:** Music and nature workshops with artists and neighborhood partners.
For example:
* Sound exploration: recording the sounds of nature. Discovering unusual instruments?
* Nature exploration: creating a herbarium, nature walks focused on biodiversity,
* Other activities (depending on partners): yoga, postcard making, knitting?
**4:00–4:30 p.m.**: Snack provided by the ARA and sourced locally
**4:30–5:30 p.m.:** Musical nap
For each event, two artists will blend their styles for a unique musical collaboration:
**Vivienne** evokes the sounds of the ’90s, blending ethereal pop with dreamy grunge.
**Un Nouvel Oiseau** crafts his own instruments within an ambient electro-acoustic soundscape.
**Wednesday, July 8:** Quai de Rouen / Lock No. 9 and Hommelet Neighborhood Committee Garden
