Description

On the occasion of the European Archaeology Days, Asnapio is offering visitors the chance to discover the archaeological professions and their career opportunities. Archaeologists will be presenting their disciplines to young and old alike: carpology, ceramology and anthropology will hold no secrets for them. The archaeo-ceramist from Atelier Figulina will be firing large-scale ceramics, and demonstrating throwing on a stick wheel. The focus will be on archaeozoology as part of a more artistic project entitled "Nos racines sont des arbres" ("Our roots are trees"). As a family, parents and children will be invited by the "Les Yeux d?Argos" collective to create animals out of glued strips of wood. registration on site_. The animals will then be hung in a tree in the park by the town?s lumberjack-voltigeur, reconstructing Darwin?s tree of the evolution of species. An opportunity to talk about the theory of the same name, currently being called into question by scientists. And to take things even further, "Zooscope" will invite all visitors to rediscover their environment through the eyes of an animal, becoming aware of different visual perceptions. The day?s "emotions" sequence is not to be missed: dexter cows, donkeys, Ouessant sheep, mini goats, giant rabbits and poultry of all kinds await the youngest visitors for petting sessions. Children can also learn about archaeological excavation techniques, material study, archaeological drawing and flint knapping. All of which may well open up new vocations.
