Description
The shortage of housing in Tourcoing after the Second World War led to the experimental construction of two "Métropole" houses in 1952, designed by Henri and Jean Prouvé. Visit the one that burned down in 1996 and was restored to its original condition in 1999. The two homes are protected as witnesses to post-war research into social housing and modular, low-cost housing.
This tour is offered on Saturdays, June 13 and October 17, from 11am to 12pm, and on Wednesday, July 15, from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
