Description
Don't miss the 1st edition of our medieval market!
For the first time in the park, several historical re-enactment craftsmen will be selling leather and wooden objects, ceramics and jewelry, illustrations and wrought-iron utensils.
At the "Vrai-faux marché" (real-fake market) by Cie du bords des Mondes, in an authentic setting inspired by the fairs of yesteryear, characters both funny and disturbing will interact with you. Evoking the era of Rabelais or the hilarious atmosphere of Les Visiteurs, a washerwoman, a bonesetter, a butcher-surgeon and a rat killer will offer a veritable living caricature of the markets of the Middle Ages in improvised sketches, combining humor and interaction with the audience. At 11:45 a.m., 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
An essential part of the festivities, the neo-medieval music group Tales of Tengri will set the park alight with each of their appearances. Armed with their imposing bagpipes and thundering drums, the group will be delivering musical performances each more impressive than the last. Tales of Tengri is all about lively music, insane energy and a close relationship with the audience that transports visitors into a trance halfway between tribal ritual and rock show. At 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:45 p.m., 4:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
The park will also be offering a number of ongoing participatory workshops: archaeological digs, weaving, ceramics, ancient games, Neolithic wafer-making and soapstone bead-making.
No reservation required.
Snacks at the Secours Populaire stand all day.
