Description
**The Ascq 1944 Memorial opens its doors free of charge on the 4th Sunday from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. A guided tour of Ascq is organized free of charge at 3:30 p.m.**
The guided tour through the streets of Ascq takes in the key sites of the tragedy, to give you a better idea of how the events unfolded: sabotage site, station square, Ascq town center. Stops in front of some of the homes of those massacred give a better understanding of the suffering of the victims and their families, and of the fear experienced by the people of Ascq.
It's also an opportunity to discover how the memory of the event has been inscribed throughout the village (street name changes, commemorative plaques).
