Description
**The LaM is reimagining the display of its collection with a new, original thematic exhibition titled** _**Obsession**_**.**%A0
Conceived as an exhibition, it explores repetition, permanence, and creative intensity throughout the 20th and 21st centuries through a unique dialogue between modern art, art brut, and contemporary art.%A0
Monographic galleries dedicated to major figures in art, such as Amedeo Modigliani, Henry Darger, and Miriam Cahn, alternate with thematic spaces offering a vibrant and fresh reinterpretation of the collection.%A0
To enrich this experience, exceptional works from the National Center for Visual Arts (Cnap) and recent acquisitions—such as a rare drawing by Amedeo Modigliani—are featured throughout the exhibition, creating new connections and unexpected dialogues.
**Part Two**
The second part of this exhibition, presented in the building designed by Manuelle Gautrand, is primarily devotedto Art Brut; it will explore the theme of obsession through several themes, such as ritual, automatic writing, spiritualism, surveying, the garden, and inventors. There you will find a monographic collection of works by Auguste Forestier, the Spiritist artists, Théo Wiesen’s totems, as well as other major works from the museum’s collection.
