Oiseaux de nuit

  • Exhibition / Fair / Open Day
14 place du Général Faidherbe, 59100 Roubaix
**The Oiseaux de nuit exhibition explores the party as a time-space where bodies are transformed and imaginations emancipated. Like carnivals, fêtes populaires and parties of all kinds, it leads to the reversal of social roles and the emergence of counter-cultures.** The exhibition Oiseaux de nuit explores the party as a time-space where bodies are transformed and imaginations emancipated

The night pours forth a stream of images, of which only a few fragments and recomposed memories remain. Between rituals and metamorphoses, bodies hybridize and agglomerate, leading to the emergence of shifting identities and the formation of new chimeras.

The exhibition brings together the work of ten artists from the same generation, living between Lille, Brussels, Marseille and the Paris region, and exploring a variety of media: drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, sound... In direct response to the exhibition theme, these artists will propose new works or adapt a selection of existing pieces. Aïda Bruyère will present the first results of her creative residency at La Condition Publique (2024-2025).

Conceived in collaboration with La Condition Publique, the exhibition is a reminder of both the plural dimension of LaM?s collection and its interest in the most up-to-date creative work. In the light of its collection, the festival is approached as a social phenomenon in which the relationship between centers and margins is blurred and reversed, shaking up our normative frameworks and opening up new perspectives, both individual and collective.

With the participation of Aïda Bruyère, Beatrice Celli, Clément Courgeon, Kenny Dunkan, Lou le Forban, Barbara Léon Leclercq, Yosra Mojtahedi, Lenny Rébéré, Hugo Servanin and Ugo Woatzi.

Exhibition conceived on the occasion of the "LaM Vagabonde" program in partnership with La Condition Publique and as part of the new edition of Lille 3000, _Fiesta !
