Every year, the Tourcoing Jazz Festival presents one of the four winners of the Jazz Migration competition. This year, we have selected the DUO BRADY.
Since meeting in 2010, Michèle Pierre and Paul Colomb have never stopped playing together, and their playful conversations have gradually given rise to the Duo Brady. In La Vie d?après, a post-Covid repertoire in the form of a reverie on our possible futures, they combine a certain melancholy with hope and celebration. All the duo?s hallmarks - lyrical roundness, virtuoso improvisation and obvious dialogue - are enhanced by a new dimension, inspired by acoustic techno, progressive rock and contemplative pop. A place for the body, dance and trance, as if moving forward together along the paths of an uncertain future.
