Description
In 1844, the Lille-based architect DHENIN began %E0 b%E2building the %E9church based on a very simple design.
By the end of the century, the church had become too cramped, but it wasn’t until 1931 that expansion work was undertaken. The construction project lasted a little over a year. The opportunity was taken to renovate the decoration of the facade, walls, and vaults. Cardinal LIENARD came to inaugurate the new building on December 11, 1932.
Come discover the eventful history of the construction of the first parish church in Mons-en-Bar?ul, as well as the treasures it houses. Several pieces of the furnishings are listed as Historic Monuments.
