Description
Fort du Vert Galant is one of General Séré de Rivières? crown of "single-crested" forts built around Lille in the aftermath of the 1870 war, to protect Lille from a possible new Prussian invasion and its German allies. A hundred years of history, marked by the immediate obsolescence of this type of building, but above all by the blood of those who were executed there during the Second World War.
