Visite guidée d’un immeuble Art déco édifié sur les fondations d'un hippodrome du 19° siècle

The tour includes an explanation of how the neighborhood was developed in the 19th century with the construction of a racetrack. The commentary will cover the history and characteristics of Art Deco architecture, of which this building is a remarkable example in Lille. The tour will include a visit to the inner courtyards and common areas (stairwells, elevator). Next, the tour focuses on the history of the Lille Hippodrome; at the end of the tour, in small groups, you’ll see the remaining foundations.
