Description
Every summer, from the 70s to the 90s, thousands of North African families crossed the Mediterranean. From Marseilles or Roubaix, in an era without GPS systems, cars loaded to the brim crisscrossed France and Spain to the ferries that took them to the Maghreb, where their families and origins awaited them.
Come and discover this installation during a guided tour, as a journey to the heart of these embarked migration stories and all that they carry in the way of objects, memories and emotions, celebrating this ritual nomadism that links two shores and constitutes a popular memory of immigration, elevated here to the rank of intangible heritage of the Mediterranean.
