To mark the bicentenary of photography, La Piscine is unveiling its photographic collection in a ground-breaking exhibition in which Roubaix and its inhabitants are at the heart of the inspiration of amateur and professional photographers alike.
"Roubaix Photo" takes visitors on a journey through more than a century of images, cross-referencing uses from vernacular photography to artistic creation, from industrial memory to contemporary approaches, and reveals the richness of a collection that dialogues with other forms of expression - painting, sculpture, graphic arts and fashion.
