Step back in time to 1913, at the end of Lille’s Belle Époque, on an immersive tour guided by Jean-Baptiste Charles de Joguet, a young bourgeois man of noble descent.
Stroll through the Vieille Bourse district before venturing into the affluent neighborhoods that bear witness to the wealth of the local bourgeoisie.
Jean-Baptiste will share with you the excitement of the Belle Époque, while revealing the secrets of a city in the midst of transformation, where factory chimneys and spinning mills symbolize its industrial boom. This immersive tour offers the chance to rediscover Lille through the lens of its glorious past, shaped by the textile and coal industries—sources of a vibrant intellectual and political life.
Tour duration: 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes in small groups of at least 8 and no more than 25 people, for adults and children over 6 years old.
