L’Oeuforie Festival a weekend with a sunny side!

We know it boiled, in an omelette or served with mayonnaise. It’s just as at home on the family table as it is in the kitchens of top chefs. But a whole festival dedicated to the humble egg? Trust Lille to make it happen!

On 17 and 18 October 2026, l’Oeuforie Festival takes over Lille Grand Palais for a weekend where eggs are tasted, reinvented and enjoyed together. On the menu: a festive guinguette-style atmosphere, specialities prepared by chefs, long communal tables and a Sunday with gastronomy firmly in the spotlight.

It’s where popular cooking meets chefs’ expertise, all centred around one simple ingredient. No fuss, just plenty of appetite.

One shell, endless possibilities and one very good reason to gather around the table.

What is  L’Oeuforie Festival?

An everyday ingredient, chefs who give it character and happy guests coming together around the table: that’s the recipe behind L’Oeuforie Festival.

For two days, Lille Grand Palais puts the egg centre stage in all its familiar, delicious and surprising forms. The kind that brings back memories of childhood meals, but can also become delicate, inventive and sophisticated in the hands of a chef.

On Saturday, it’s time for La T’œuf, an evening of tastings with a lively guinguette-style atmosphere. On Sunday, the festival takes a different turn with the Hauts-de-France stage of the World Egg Mayo Championship and a gourmet brunch.

Two different atmospheres, one shared pleasure: eating well and enjoying good times together. Here, gastronomy comes with a smile, and long tables bring people closer.

When is  L’Oeuforie Festival?

Join us on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026 at Lille Grand Palais.

Saturday 17 October: La T’œuf
An evening of egg-inspired tastings with chefs, brewers from the Héritage Bière label and long communal tables, all in a lively guinguette-style atmosphere.

Sunday 18 October: Competition and gourmet brunch
The Hauts-de-France stage of the World Egg Mayo Championship, followed by a gourmet brunch to continue the culinary discoveries.

Detailed opening times and admission information for the different festival events will be announced soon.

Saturday 17 October:  We’re putting on La T’œuf at Lille Grand Palais!

Long communal tables, a guinguette-style atmosphere, chefs at the stove and specialities to discover: on Saturday, L’Oeuforie Festival invites you to a relaxed evening filled with good food and good company.

With 1,000 people expected, La T’œuf is going big to celebrate this little ingredient. Come with friends, as a couple, ready to taste your way through the evening and soak up the atmosphere. Take a seat, compare your discoveries and the conversation soon finds its way to the obvious question: “So, what did you go for?”

One chef, one speciality, eggs every which way
Omelettes, œufs cocotte… Each chef brings their own speciality and their own way of putting eggs centre stage.

Behind a recipe you think you know, there might be perfectly mastered cooking, an unexpected seasoning or a combination that changes everything. A chance to rediscover the classics with fresh eyes and a fork at the ready.

No need to be fluent in fine dining to enjoy yourself here: all you need is an appetite for something delicious.

Local brewers join the table too
To accompany the tastings, brewers from the Héritage Bière label will also be part of the evening, with one simple principle: one beer, one brewer.

It’s an opportunity to discover a range of local brewing styles and celebrate the expertise of the region. On the plate and in the glass, the evening is all about encounters and new discoveries.

A guinguette atmosphere, long communal tables and plenty of good cheer
At La T’œuf, the pleasure is just as much around the table as it is on the plate.

The tasting areas and long communal tables invite you to take your time, chat and enjoy the evening. A relaxed celebration of good food, where chefs share their cooking in an easy-going atmosphere.

Admission: €49

Sunday 18 October:  The mayo egg enters the competition

Two egg halves, mayonnaise and far more skill than you might think.

On Sunday, Lille Grand Palais hosts the Hauts-de-France stage of the World Egg Mayo Championship. An event that gives this great bistro classic all the attention it deserves.

Because behind its apparent simplicity, egg mayo leaves little room for error: cooking, texture, balance of flavours… Every detail counts when it comes to turning a familiar starter into a memorable dish.

A Lille stage before the final in Paris
Several qualifying rounds are held across France. In Lille, the competing chefs will be hoping to secure their place in the next stage of the competition.

The winner of the Hauts-de-France stage will join the other regional winners in Paris in mid-November to compete in the final.

A deliciously compelling competition that proves one thing: sometimes, the simplest recipes demand the greatest precision.

A gourmet brunch to savour Sunday
On Sunday, L’Oeuforie Festival will also be serving a brunch for €39, designed as a true gastronomic experience.

It’s a chance to extend the weekend around the table, take your time over each bite and discover another side of the festival. After Saturday’s guinguette spirit, Sunday puts culinary expertise firmly in the spotlight.

One very good reason to make breakfast wait a little longer.
