Founded in 1987 by a group of enthusiasts for the history of science and hospital heritage, the Association du Musée Hospitalier Régional de Lille is part of an educational and cultural initiative aimed at preserving and promoting hospital heritage in Northern France, and creating a hospital memory that bears witness to the evolution of the hospital over the centuries and to the immense advances of the 20th century.
Throughout the year, activities include conferences, exhibitions, trips, guided tours and the creation of tourist itineraries tracing the evolution of hospitals in relation to the history of towns in the Nord region, and enabling visitors to discover hospital architecture. You'll learn many anecdotes about Lille's Saint-Sauveur district and the hospitals of Vieux-Lille. Whether you're a science enthusiast or simply curious, this association offers you the chance to visit the capital of the Nord region in an original way.
