In this cemetery, hundreds and hundreds of black metal crosses stretch out in long rows over a vast grassy area. Each cross bears four names and thus marks four graves. According to a plaque in the center of the cemetery, 5094 German soldiers lie here, far from their homeland. Soldiers of all religions and even unknown soldiers whose names have been lost.
