The Maison Folie Moulins is a performance and events venue for the City of Lille, created to coincide with Lille 2004? European Capital of Culture. Nestled in the heart of the working-class Moulins district, it is housed in a former brewery built in the 19th century. To restore and enhance this architectural heritage, the City of Lille commissioned architects Baron and Louguet.
Since 2005, the Maison Folie Moulins has been developing an artistic project at the crossroads of disciplines. As a Fabrique Culturelle, supported by the Métropole Européenne de Lille (MEL), it offers shows, concerts and exhibitions. As a cultural facility, it supports artistic creation by offering artists residencies, as well as setting up cultural action projects. Thanks to the multiplicity of its spaces and the warm ambience of its inner courtyard, it offers a subtle mix of proposals, artists and audiences, often in conjunction with numerous partners from the Lille Eurometropole? faithful to its past as a brasserie!
